Operations

Inventory on Customer Installs

We added the customer devices inventory to the charts and lists in the Operations Portal Customer Installs. The sum of all of the devices on the chart should now account for every device.

Data Forwarding and Integration

We are preparing data forwarding for several new forwarding subscribers. Had the initial technical meeting with Lasso, elogplus, m2minmotion.

m2minmotion most likely will favor using their own sims, but still want to use our operations portal and capabilities ... discussed them forwarding data back to us to create that bridge. They are also interested in using our reverse geocoder as a service, as google is prohibitively expensive. If we just price this out, it is very cheap to offer this as a service.


Other Customer Support

• Discussed with Alves at HCSS why they can't find some of their data after an outage of their server. Seems that their missing data is still on the service bus queue but not readable until their message reservations expire.

Fleet Management


Defects and Stability

• Fixed 90% of the bugs known at the beginning of the week
• Found about twenty more to fix, presently in progress. Expect to eliminate them next week, keeping an eye on the cut-point for which bugs we can live with for initial production release.
• The UI grid control, despite the best one to use with the ui framework, consistently causing layout issues. We've updated to the latest version which appears to be more adaptable, and are taming it now to behave well in our panels.

Content and Adjustments

• With defects converging to stability now, we began adding content this week. This is mostly document creation with slight modifications to the code-base to conform to use cases, so the majority of the work is applying experienced domain knowledge to the production of the content.
• Met with Road guard to solicit their expertise on Fleet Management for the content of the forms, rules, and rule-driven reports. They provided excellent ideas concerning "cost of lane" and route restrictions, and are continuing to provide content advice through next week as well.
• Started creating rules, forms, and rule-driven reports to serve fleet management functions. We have these presently in progress, with the fields mostly in place and adding rules and reports:
• DVIR
• Fuel Receipt + photo
• Accident + photo
• Scale Ticket
• Work Order
• Bill of Lading

Vistracks Integration

• Half into wrapping our skyonics web service around the mock implementation of the Vistracks API, which will allow the UI to access it and the HOS panels to receive data. This is still in progress as stabilization and customer support have taken priority.
